Hired for Talent, Fired for Behavior
A New Podcast from Q4 Solutions
“People are hired because of the skills, experience, and talent they bring to a role. Yet too often, it is their behavior and poor people skills that limit their effectiveness or ultimately lead to their termination.”
This simple truth lies at the heart of a challenge many organizations face every day: technical capability may open the door, but interpersonal effectiveness often determines long-term success. In our new podcast, Hired for Talent, Fired for Behavior, we explore why behavior matters as much as professional expertise — and what leaders, managers, and employees can do to build stronger workplace relationships, cultures, and results.
This monthly podcast, hosted by Master Facilitator Marianne Whelchel and featuring subject matter experts from the Q4 Solutions team, will explore the workplace behaviors that have the greatest impact on leadership success. Throughout the series, we’ll examine the behaviors that create challenges for leaders, as well as the practices and skills that help individuals become more effective in their roles.
Episode 1: The Dimensional® Model of Behavior™
The first episode introduces the Dimensional® Model of Behavior™, the framework that serves as the foundation for Q4 Solutions.
The model helps leaders better understand observable behavior through two key dimensions: a person’s focus on results and their regard for people. Together, these dimensions create four distinct behavior patterns that influence how individuals communicate, make decisions, and work with others.
Understanding these behaviors helps leaders recognize why people respond differently to situations and provides practical strategies for improving communication and workplace relationships.
