It’s no secret that Psychological Associates has more than a few superstar women on our team. So it should come as no surprise that Lead Up For Women has taken notice. This multi-platform organization, which provides space for women to share resources to empower each other towards both professional and personal success, has worked with Psychological Associates in the past. Patricia Bagsby, Ph.D. was a featured speaker at their Nashville conference earlier this year, and we recently collaborated on a webinar focusing on the topic of workplace identity.
This month, the women of PA are in the spotlight again. The just-released September/October edition of Lead Up For Women Magazine features an article on Cindy Lefton, Ph.D., RN, CPXP, Vice President of Organizational Consulting and second-generation family member at Psychological Associates. Cindy’s unique blend of healthcare experience and her background in industrial/organizational psychology have made her a valuable member not just of the Psychological Associates team, but also of the many organizations she works with. Most notably, this includes her work with The DAISY Foundation, where Cindy serves as pro bono Patient Experience Director.
Cindy’s connection to The DAISY Foundation, an organization that provides awards for acts of extraordinary care in the field of nursing, began close to a decade ago. At Cindy’s direction, Psychological Associates collaborated with The DAISY Foundation to review thousands of nominations for the DAISY Award as well as interviews with award winners and Chief Nursing Officers. The results were clear – meaningful recognition such as The DAISY Award or even a DAISY nomination can have a powerful impact when it comes to lowering rates of burnout, improving employee engagement, and increasing patient satisfaction.
