PA Consultant Achieves Ph.D. Status
Emily Ingalls, Director of Organizational Consulting at Psychological Associates, has successfully defended her dissertation and earned a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Dr. Ingalls’ dissertation, titled “The Public Consequences of a Personal Choice: The Impact of the Decision to Be Childfree in Family Friendly America” explored how bias can impact individuals’ perceptions of their own abilities, as well as how they perceive others’.
Dr. Ingalls notes, “My role at Psychological Associates allows me the ability to put into practice the skills I learned during my graduate education. From training and development to assessment, it is rewarding to see the science of Industrial-Organizational Psychology come to life.” She adds, “I look forward to new challenges in my role and continuing to develop my skills, learning from the broad experiences of the consulting team here at PA.”
In her role with Psychological Associates, Dr. Ingalls delivers a variety of tailored solutions, including facilitating training; delivering assessment feedback and coaching; and family business consulting. Her work emphasizes analytics and issues facing employers during the selection and development processes.
Dr. Ingalls is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), and she has delivered several presentations at the SIOP national conference. In addition, she is a member of the Gateway Industrial-Organizational Psychologists group, and the National Human Resources Association. Dr. Ingalls has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri – St. Louis and Maryville University.
