The Q4 Model

Psychological Associates is the only talent management company that uses the Dimensional® Model of Behavior™. It was developed by our co-founders Drs. Robert E. Lefton and V.R. Buzzotta to organize objective, observable behavior into four quadrants.

Organizations can challenge their talent to grow and adapt by adopting optimal behavior patterns. We believe Q4 behavior combines a strong desire for accomplishment with a high regard for people to generate long-term business success.

Take the Behavior Questionnaire to learn how to work more effectively with others.

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Assessment

What kind of instruments will I be taking?

You will be completing a variety of instruments, some on the computer and some paper/pencil, measuring problem solving, managerial style, and work-related personality characteristics.

Who gets the results of my assessment?

Only the company that referred you for the assessment will receive the results. Some companies choose to share results with the candidate, and some do not. Please consult with your company contact to see if he/she will provide you with a summary of your results.

Can I study?

No, these are not the types of surveys you can or need to study for. Our advice is to get a good night’s rest, relax, and be yourself.

How long will it take?

You should expect to be at Psychological Associates for the entire day for most assessments. Half-day assessments take about 4 to 5 hours. If you are flying out the same night, do not book a flight before 7:00 p.m. St. Louis time.

What time should I arrive?

Monday through Friday, candidates should arrive promptly at 9:00 a.m. On Saturdays, please be here at 8:30 a.m.

What should I bring?

Other than glasses (if you wear them) and money for lunch, parking, or cab fare (cash only), everything will be provided for the assessment day. We will ask for identification upon your arrival.

What should I wear?

Business attire is recommended.

Will there be time for breaks and lunch?

Yes, time is allotted for short breaks and for lunch. The assessment staff will keep you informed of how quickly you are working so that you can adjust your schedule as needed.

May I use tobacco products?

We work in a tobacco-free building. However, the assessment staff will direct you to areas that are designated for tobacco usage if you would like to take a break.

May I be contacted by others during my assessment?

If you need to receive phone calls throughout the day, we can relay messages to you from our main telephone number. If you will be bringing a cell phone with you, we ask that you please keep it turned off during your assessment. This will avoid disruptions to you and ensure that other testers will not be disturbed. We will have phones available, should you need to make outgoing calls during breaks.

Will you validate my parking receipt?

We cannot validate parking receipts. Typically, the company for which you are testing will reimburse you for your parking expenses. The cost for the garage is usually about $10 – $15/day.

How do I get to Psychological Associates from the airport?

Psychological Associates is a short taxi ride from the airport. If you do rent a car, maps and directions to Psychological Associates are included in this informational packet.

What else will I be doing, besides taking surveys?

You will meet with one of our consultants for an interview.

What hotels are nearby?

We have corporate room rates at The Ritz-Carlton, Sheraton Clayton Plaza, and Homewood Suites. Our rate at the Ritz is $185.00 per night for a King room. Our rate at the Sheraton is $139 per night for a Deluxe Queen, King, or 2 Double Bed room. Our rate at Homewood Suites is $129 per night. These rates do not apply to suites. When you call the hotel, please mention that you are visiting Psychological Associates in order to get the appropriate rate. If you would like for us to make the arrangements, we would be happy to do so.

When you arrive in St. Louis the night before your first day at our offices, you might want to consider using a taxi to drive you to your hotel and avoid renting a car; this will also save the time you would spend returning a rental car.
