What Happens After the Leadership Workshop?
Pam Hager, Ph.D., Senior Vice President of Instructional Consulting, shared this insight with us:
“Over the last three weeks of delivering Q4 training and leadership workshops, I have worked with 28 individuals, bringing Q4 People Skills to them. As each workshop was winding down, participants wanted to know what else could they do when they return to work. What’s a good way to keep those people skills alive after the workshop?
Although met with a gasp by some, I urged the managers to share the basic concepts of Q4 behavior with their direct reports. To sell them on the idea, I gave participants time to brainstorm the benefits of encouraging Q4 behavior in their departments. Interestingly, what the managers soon discovered was that benefits to the direct reports eventually benefited the managers themselves. BINGO!
